Speed

Speed is an important element of creating a good wake. Typically, you’ll want to go somewhere between 20-25 MPH. Anything slower than 20 MPH usually won’t result in a usable wake, while going faster will typically result in the participant not being able to keep up. That’s why most wake boats feature a robust cruise control feature. Be sure to switch on the cruise control once your vessel reaches the proper speed. 

Trimming Your Engines

Trimming a wake boat’s engines will cause the stern to go deeper in the water and create a larger wake. However, if you trim the engines too much, you might make the wake too close to your vessel or too steep to ride. Weight Distribution
